Lemon Chiffon

I think I’m slightly behind on 52 Weeks of Color since we were away last week… but here is my Lemon Chiffon contribution! To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of yellow. I like some very pale yellows, but more for decor than clothing. I haven’t worn anything yellow since Christmas 1988. Why I remember that, I don’t know. But that year my “Christmas outfit” was pale yellow with glittery snowflakes. Ah, the 80s. At any rate, I decided to search on yellow in my inventory, and I came across this Sn@tch outfit that was, I believe, a hunt gift a while back. I’ve never worn any of the colors, but I always figured I’d wear the bodysuit with jeans. The skirt was rather couture, which is cool and I like it… but it doesn’t feel like “me.” However, when I put it on, I thought of this adorable Ploom hair from Collabor88 – again, I liked it, but I didn’t think to buy it because it just didn’t feel like my style.

But what’s a blog for if not to venture out of one’s comfort zone from time to time? So, without further ado, I present what I call “Lucie Does Couture & Tries Not To Giggle.”

And with that… I leave you, but not for long. I’m so close to done with the golden peen pics. I can’t wait to share them. I think I’m having way too much fun with this challenge of Harlow’s.
