The Theme Park: Vintage Romance

Over two years ago, before I was a blogger and before I owned Lazy Sunday, my husband and I owned an event called The Theme Park. It was a fun event, and one we enjoyed running. But then I was supposed to student teach, and I expected to barely be in SL for at least twelve weeks. So, with a bit of a heavy heart, we closed the event. Well, after some deliberation and discussion, we decided to resurrect and re-invent The Theme Park. It has just opened, and will run through February 5th. Our first theme is Vintage Romance.

I am really excited about this, as you may imagine. We have some unbelievably talented designers participating, and I’m going to share some of the creations you can find at the event in this post (and in future posts).

Sari-Sari is a store I discovered through another event, The Neighbourhood. I just love this store. They make a mix of poses and furniture/decor items. For The Theme Park, they did both, but in this post I am showing you their Antique Dresser. I love everything about this piece. It’s romantic, sweet and definitely feels antique. I did very little editing to this picture, in order to show the piece off better. All the items on the top of the dresser are part of this piece.

Next, I want to show you the gorgeous Vintage Romance dress Coquet has for The Theme Park. I have been gushing about this dress to anyone willing to listen since I first put it on. Here’s why… the texture work on this is absolutely freakin’ exquisite. I love the lightly wrinkled effect around the bottom of the dress. It’s just so, so well done. The three colors it is available in are also all beautiful. I went with the bold Berry, but they’e all awesome. My pose is also for The Theme Park, and it is one of the Like A Lady poses from an lar. It’s so cute, isn’t it? I love the positions of the arms and feet.

Romance

I’ll have more from The Theme Park, as well as other events, in coming days! But in the meantime, come by and check it out for yourself! You can also follow us on Pinterest or Plurk, and like us on facebook.
