Rhapsody

There are only a couple of days left for Rhapsody. This is a must-visit event for music lovers… whether your love is rock, jazz, metal or country (amongst others) you’ll be sure to find something to love at this event.

I was inspired by Coquet’s County Rd 22 dress and Blake Shelton’s new song “My Eyes” in creating this look. The prop pose is from Embody’s Country Girl set, and I had to blog it because I begged Rad to do this pack. Both the Coquet and Embody are in the Country genre at Rhapsody. My adorable wedge heels are fri.day for Summerfest, which also ends this weekend.

Those high heels with that sundress...

I knew I needed a skin with dramatic red lips for this look, to go with the line “red lips like wine, wanna drink them up” from the song. When I saw PXL’s Mia in the Jazz genre at Rhapsody I fell in love with it. I originally grabbed one with peachy, summery makeup, but then went back for the version you see below, with the luscious red lips.

The Theme Park: Vintage Romance

Over two years ago, before I was a blogger and before I owned Lazy Sunday, my husband and I owned an event called The Theme Park. It was a fun event, and one we enjoyed running. But then I was supposed to student teach, and I expected to barely be in SL for at least twelve weeks. So, with a bit of a heavy heart, we closed the event. Well, after some deliberation and discussion, we decided to resurrect and re-invent The Theme Park. It has just opened, and will run through February 5th. Our first theme is Vintage Romance.

I am really excited about this, as you may imagine. We have some unbelievably talented designers participating, and I’m going to share some of the creations you can find at the event in this post (and in future posts).

Sari-Sari is a store I discovered through another event, The Neighbourhood. I just love this store. They make a mix of poses and furniture/decor items. For The Theme Park, they did both, but in this post I am showing you their Antique Dresser. I love everything about this piece. It’s romantic, sweet and definitely feels antique. I did very little editing to this picture, in order to show the piece off better. All the items on the top of the dresser are part of this piece.

Next, I want to show you the gorgeous Vintage Romance dress Coquet has for The Theme Park. I have been gushing about this dress to anyone willing to listen since I first put it on. Here’s why… the texture work on this is absolutely freakin’ exquisite. I love the lightly wrinkled effect around the bottom of the dress. It’s just so, so well done. The three colors it is available in are also all beautiful. I went with the bold Berry, but they’e all awesome. My pose is also for The Theme Park, and it is one of the Like A Lady poses from an lar. It’s so cute, isn’t it? I love the positions of the arms and feet.

Romance

I’ll have more from The Theme Park, as well as other events, in coming days! But in the meantime, come by and check it out for yourself! You can also follow us on Pinterest or Plurk, and like us on facebook.

It’s a shiny new year…

So FaMESHed for January is pretty freakin’ awesome. If you haven’t been yet, definitely check it out. I have a few great finds to share with you in this post. Wasabi Pills has an adorable new hairstyle, Emily, which has a hud controlled, texture change bow that’s just too cute. Coquet has a great dress (not in this post) and also this adorable sweater/top combo I loved so much. The sweater is texture change via hud and has multiple options/colors. I know a lot of people thought this was a short little dress at first glance, and from the front you could totally think that. But trust me, from the back… not so much! So you’ll want to grab some leggings or jeans or a cute skirt to pair with it! In my case, I went to my Maitreya leggings, which I love.

All the shiny things

I’m wearing Glam Affair’s new Kaelyn skin, in the gorgeous Jamaica tone. My eyes are the Chocolate shade from IKON’s new Promise line, available at FaMESHed. I love this rich brown so much, especially with the Jamaica tone. My gorgeous jewelry is Cae’s FaMESHed set, Ascension.
