[TheSkinnery] is participating in the annual Skin Fair with a new release for Catwa’s bento heads. I fell in love with this face immediately. Devon is so impish and adorable, and I knew it would be the perfect skin for a bit of a whimsical, fantasy themed post. I visited StoryBrooke Gardens to shoot these pics. It’s a lovely place for spring pics. Plus, if you join the Baja Norte group (the sims are owned by the same person, Lauren Bentham) you can rezz, too! My eyes are also from [TheSkinnery], from the Palermo collection which you can find in the mainstore. I liked how they matched the colors in the wings (my fairy outfit is from Decoy, more on that to come!). But seriously, look at this face. Isn’t it super cute? I love the lips in particular, but all of it is just lovely. I’m also wearing one of the lipglosses, sold separately for it at Skin Fair. I have it on my own shape on Catwa’s Kimberly head. It may not look remotely the same on different heads or shapes, so definitely demo first! My stunning necklace and matching earrings by Cae are at the current round of FaMESHed and match the shoes you’ll see in the next pic. Also, you get 3 different earring styles with this set (sold together with the necklace or individually).
My vines, bikini and (bento!) wings are courtesy of Decoy’s Forest Fae gacha. Please note that this was a recent event release and is not yet in the Mainstore, but should be soon. My gorgeous shoes are the new collaboration between Gos and Cae, available at FaMESHed and designed to match the necklace and earrings you saw in the previous photo.
Here’s a closeup of those shoes, unedited, to show the intricate detail in the jewels. Normally in a post where I am a fairy, I’d go barefoot. But if ever there were shoes suitable for a spring fae? These are them (click the image to see it larger)!

I fell head over heels in love with this adorable Alice Project hair released at Hair Fair 2016. The (literal) hair bow and braid are so sweet and just perfectly done. I knew this was one I’d need to shoot from the back, to really show how gorgeous it is, but the front is very pretty, too. I’m wearing the frilled swim bottom in bloom that is part of Neve’s recent, ginormous swim collection release. What’s cool is you can mix and match the tops and bottoms, making these really customizable. But I decided to be a bit sassy and just wear the cute, ruffly bottom for this pic!
I wanted to show you the new LAQ mesh head, Trinity. This is LAQ’s first foray into mesh heads, and I really love it. The shape of the face is so beautifully done. There are a few things that particularly stand out for me about LAQ’s head. First off, it’s OMEGA compatible out of the box. No add on to buy or wear. You can wear any OMEGA applier you’d like with it. Secondly, it has a really nice, clean hud. It’s very user friendly and not overly complicated, which is something I think is a particular bonus for anyone who has wanted a mesh head, but maybe has felt overwhelmed by all the huds and options. I’m wearing the built in default applier, which is called Wilma, and is also available for sale at the LAQ store, so if you like the applier but are attached to your current head (no pun intended), you can demo it and see if you like it on that head (as long as it’s OMEGA compatible). There are also multiple other appliers available for it, including some of LAQ’s more popular older skins, like Elena. Also, I’m still wearing the Jennilynn hair here, so you can see how sweet and pretty the front bangs are.
Hair Fair 2016 wraps up this weekend, closing with Bandana Day on Sunday, July 31st. This annual event is truly amazing, and something I always look forward to, so be sure to look out for my Bandana Day ensemble on Sunday! In the meantime, be sure you go and grab your own bandanas. They’re only L$50 per bandana, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity, and there are – as always – some truly incredible and creative options to choose from… even if you’re not a blogger, it’s a great cause and you get something fun and unique out of it!

Summer is so close now! At least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. And summer – to me – means vacations, road trips, ice cream, beaches (even though it’s been years since I’ve gone to one!). It also means I can wear my flip flops, which I love. Because, you see, in RL I hate shoes. HATE them. Socks, too. But I love how they look… just not how they feel. So I’m happy to indulge my would-be shoe obsession in SL instead. When I put together this outfit, I knew it needed some strappy sandals, and I found the perfect pair at Glamistry… along with some fun, flirty, vintage feeling sunglasses! My top was released in the Mainstore of Just Because and the skirt is from the latest set of releases by Neve.
I love when shoe fatpacks are hud based, so that you can change the colors of individual parts. That’s the case with these Columbine sandals from Glamistry. Also, how could I NOT own these, when columbines are the state flower of Colorado, the beautiful state I get to call home.
I titled the above picture C’mon get strappy, which is a play on C’mon get happy… and a horrible pun that I did in honor of my brother Benton (I owed him one). But how fabulous is it that with the fatpack I could make the shoes multiple colors to match my skirt and top?
The hair I wore in the full body pic is from Exile, and it’s a brand new release for Summerfest, which has just opened. I spent a small fortune at Summerfest, so I’m sure to have more blog posts featuring items from it before long. But definitely check it out… it’s an event I always look forward to each year.
