Balancing Act

I’ve been balancing RL health issues with SL stuff, so I felt like shooting a picture that symbolized this. I went to – yes, you guessed correctly – Blithe and found this log bridge, and it was the perfect setting for how I’ve felt of late. I’m wearing a dress I love from Neve. I think it’s sexy and cute and quirky all at once. It also has a scarf that you can show or hide via the hud. I have it hidden for this pic, but it’s truly lovely and dresses up the look fabulously. My boots are from Reign, for the Sad November event. I love these boots. They remind me a bit of fringed ankle boots I had in 1988.

Balancing Act

I’m also wearing Pink Fuel’s beautiful & newly released Morgana applier for the Catwa head. I’m honestly still learning all the things my various mesh heads can do, but one thing I did learn was that I could add eyeliner from the hud for this head (which you can also tint), and I did so here. I had a fitting issue with my Catwa head, so I messaged the creator Catwa Clip. She was so helpful, and got back to me really fast. Good customer service is something I really value, so I wanted to point that out. We so often hear the bad customer service stories and less often hear the good ones! It turned out I simply had an old version of the head, so it was an easy fix.

Autumn Daydreamer

It’s kind of unusual for me to wear gold anything, but this eyeshadow is really almost a bronze shade, and it worked so well with the colors in the dress. And I won’t deny it, the colors sort of made me think a little of Ravenclaw house colors. Yeah, I’m that dorky. My beautiful cameo jewelry is from Lost Junction, and can be found at The Gacha Garden. I’ve a long love of cameos, and there are so many different designs you can play for in this set.

Stop and catch the fireflies

I’ve been working on a beach in the sky, and it’s been a fun challenge. But I decided to take a break from that for some fun, and dug into my inventory for some oldies but goodies for the Raid Your Closet Challenge.

My top is from coldLogic. I freakin’ love that store, and whenever there’s been a sale, I have gone and stocked up. But because a girl can only wear one outfit at a time (unless said girl has a knack for accidentally wearing folders, but we won’t discuss that), I rarely even wear half of what I buy. Imagine me facepalming here. Because I am. But it’s on sale! And someday I might need it! Well, the last time there was a sale I grabbed this adorable top because I love stars and I dig the back detail… and I also love this top because it’s ever so subtly sexy with the hint of side boob in a shirt that otherwise is best described as cute. My shorts are from erratic, from a couple years back, but I still love them. Especially because I’ve always had a thing for mail, and look! I’ve got stamps on my butt.

Stop and catch the fireflies

Oh, and the awesome house you can see a bit of, which I am in the midst of decorating, is from Barnesworth Anubis for the current round of Collabor88. It’s really pretty and reminds me of Emily Thorne’s beach house on Revenge.

Witchy Business

I love Halloween. I love autumn. Both of these things have been discussed before, so I won’t wax on about them, but I had to say it again. Collabor88’s October round is just chock full of autumnal, Halloweenish goodness. If you’ve not yet been, you definitely should go over there before it ends because while the items are definitely inspired by the season, most of them will work year-round!

Kuro In Motion’s recent prop pose release was very helpful in my quest to complete the scene I’d created using the Remedy Caravan that Scarlet Creative has in this round of Collabor88. I fell in love with this caravan, and I bought it even though at the time I had absolutely no clue whatsoever what I’d do with it! Once I’d collected some other Collab items, like the chair from floorplan and the tarot cards from flowey, I figured it out. I knew this little caravan would be perfect for the travelling fortune telling witch on the go. My original concept was to wear something that felt… well… vintage. But then I built this sexy menswear inspired outfit entirely around Truth’s Dylan hair, and I realized I would simply be a modern, business woman witch on the go! Here I am resting up for my next session!

Witch at rest

Fortune tellers require clients, so I snagged a friend to be my victim. Uhm. Client. Though, to be honest, the cards were not kind to her.

Witchy Business

In this last pic, you get a better look at my Eerie jewelry from Cae, which is seasonally appropriate. However, it’s definitely not limited to just the Halloween season. You can change the charms via a hud, and there are many options including the moons I am showing here. There are also ghosts, owls, cats, witch hats, spiders, pumpkins and bats… you definitely need to check out this set! I love moons and owls, so I know I will get year-round use of this set.

I’m also wearing the newly released Vera skin from Glam Affair in the Jamaica tone. I feel like a broken record when I blog Glam Affair because a. I always seem to love each new release even more than the last and b. I just can’t stop talking about how gorgeous they are! Vera is no exception to the trend. It’s flawless.
