Wynn the Wombat has Wanderlust

This weekend marks the opening of the Wild Things Gacha Festival. I have a couple of adorable items to show you from that (and more to come), and I combined them with some of the Collabor88 items from the current round, which has a safari chic theme. Also, Hair Fair ends this weekend, so be sure to get there and check it out. Remember, each purchase helps raise funds for Wigs For Kids, which is a fabulous charity. I’m wearing one of the styles from Eaters Coma. I love braids, so this style was right up my alley. Wynn the Wombat is from Schadenfreude (name not included, lol) and clearly she has wanderlust and wants to travel with me. She’s stomping down the overly full suitcase from Kuro (at The Theme Park’s Summer Vacation edition) while the giraffe from Sway’s for Wild Things looks on curiously. And all of this is happening inside the stunning Rivershire Watermill Trompe Loeil has out for Collabor88.

Sweet Tart

It’s been a hectic, crazy few weeks in my RL, which is why I have been quiet. We’re getting ready to travel to visit family later this week. I’m really excited to see my four year-old nephew. He’s literally counting down the days til our visit. I’m riding that excitement to get through this visit because, if I’m honest, the traveling will be physically brutal (air travel and my body aren’t friends), and the rest of the family stuff is just stressing me out!

But I can put all that aside for now to show you some sweet treats! The Theme Park’s Sweet Tart Edition is under way, and Embody has this cute, flirty couple prop pose for women. I am wearing a dress from u.f.o for Collabor88, along with the gorgeous new Coral skin from Glam Affair that debuted at Collab. My cute shoes are also at Collab, from fri.day. My partner in crime (aka my alt) is wearing new items from coldLogic and the recent Gos Boutique group gift heels.

Sugar Rush

Be sure to stop by The Theme Park and Collabor88 to check out all of the goodies. There’s a lot of cute to be had at both events!

The Goddess Of Events?

I’m feeling a bit like the Goddess Of Events right now… so many wonderful events.

This look features items from 7 different current events. My hair is Tableau Vivant for Collabor88, the dress is Coquet for The Theme Park, the garden table is Collage for TLC’s The Garden, and the food is also from The Garden, by Ispachi and my olive branch wreath is Lark for TLC’s The Boutique. The beautiful lemon trees are from Dysfunctional Designs for The Home Show.

My beautiful skin is by Essences for the new edition of The Seasons Story. This is Amaranth, and I love the glossy lips these skins have.

Homeward Bound

It’s been a while since I did a home blog post, so I have a few pics to share. I’m not feeling very chatty tonight… shocking, I know! So, I’m just gonna give ya the goods.

This beautiful bed from Kuro was for The Theme Park’s Vintage Romance edition, which comes to an end tomorrow at 11:59 pm SLT. I checked with Luana, though, and this will be available in her mainstore soon, too!

Vintage Dreams

I’ve blogged these recycled theater chairs from Junk before, but I just adore them, so I incorporated them into my living room again.

Bright Ideas

This is the loft space in the Trompe Loeil Sparrow Hill Lodge for Collabor88 for January. You have just a few days to go grab it (and lots of other goodies) at its discounted price. I wanted to make an artist’s loft.

The Artist's Loft

This new living room set from Sway’s comes in two color palettes, warm & cool. Plus, there’s a special Valentine’s Day version at a newer event called The Collage, so check that out, too. This is the cool version.

The Theme Park: Vintage Romance

Over two years ago, before I was a blogger and before I owned Lazy Sunday, my husband and I owned an event called The Theme Park. It was a fun event, and one we enjoyed running. But then I was supposed to student teach, and I expected to barely be in SL for at least twelve weeks. So, with a bit of a heavy heart, we closed the event. Well, after some deliberation and discussion, we decided to resurrect and re-invent The Theme Park. It has just opened, and will run through February 5th. Our first theme is Vintage Romance.

I am really excited about this, as you may imagine. We have some unbelievably talented designers participating, and I’m going to share some of the creations you can find at the event in this post (and in future posts).

Sari-Sari is a store I discovered through another event, The Neighbourhood. I just love this store. They make a mix of poses and furniture/decor items. For The Theme Park, they did both, but in this post I am showing you their Antique Dresser. I love everything about this piece. It’s romantic, sweet and definitely feels antique. I did very little editing to this picture, in order to show the piece off better. All the items on the top of the dresser are part of this piece.

Sari-Sari for The Theme Park

Next, I want to show you the gorgeous Vintage Romance dress Coquet has for The Theme Park. I have been gushing about this dress to anyone willing to listen since I first put it on. Here’s why… the texture work on this is absolutely freakin’ exquisite. I love the lightly wrinkled effect around the bottom of the dress. It’s just so, so well done. The three colors it is available in are also all beautiful. I went with the bold Berry, but they’e all awesome. My pose is also for The Theme Park, and it is one of the Like A Lady poses from an lar. It’s so cute, isn’t it? I love the positions of the arms and feet.

Romance

I’ll have more from The Theme Park, as well as other events, in coming days! But in the meantime, come by and check it out for yourself! You can also follow us on Pinterest or Plurk, and like us on facebook.
